The internet is exploding on a man who was photographed carrying kittens in his bathrobe pockets.
A video of the man was shared on the Reddit forum “Made Me Smile” on Tuesday by an anonymous poster under the name u/SnooCupcakes8607. Since then, this post has garnered more than 42,000 upvotes and over 500 comments from Redditors declaring the man “the best cat dad ever.”
The post also highlights one of the many ways cats show affection for their owners – by cuddling with them.
u/SnooCupcakes8607 wrote in the title of the post: “After saving the kitties, he won’t go anywhere without them anymore.”
The video begins with the man entering his bedroom wearing a bathrobe with two front pockets, each containing a kitten.
When the man approaches his bed, one of the cats quickly jumps out of his pocket, but the other decides to stay put.
“Alexander doesn’t want to go out,” he told the camera, referring to the still-sitting cat in the bathrobe.
In the next frame, Alexander – still in the man’s pocket – stares at the man brushing his teeth. Alexander extends his paws and releases a big yawn, and in response, his absent-minded owner stretches down and strokes one of his paws.

u/unspoken_almighty commented, “This pocket cat is so fond of him, she’s so cute.”
My theory u/Argyleskin: “The kitten will be his shadow and follow him everywhere when he grows up. This look he gives when he brushes his teeth is pure love.”
Talking to NEWSWEEKTICA president Vicki Jo Harrison said she was “confident” that cats love their owners, despite their “bad rap.”
“Despite their independent nature and reclusive stereotypes, cats feel great love for their owners and other companions,” she said.
“From slow blinks to purring, kneading, and following you from room to room, cats show love in so many unique and adorable ways.”
Harrison added that cuddling is a sign of affection and “trust.”
A study conducted by researchers from Oregon State University’s Human-Animal Interaction Laboratory revealed that cats not only love their owners, but also “view their owners as a source of safety and security,” said study co-author Christine Vitale. NEWSWEEK.
Many commentators were impressed by the man’s common bond with his “little kitten,” Alexander, adding that the cute interaction was very “attractive.”
“There are very few things more attractive than this here,” u/adorahorrible89 said.

u/starlinkeronite admitted that they “fell in love with someone else’s man.” Meanwhile, u/factor3x said, “These cats made him 10 times more handsome.”
u/Plus_Salamander6764 added “Best cat dad ever”.

Alexander isn’t the first cat to be photographed lounging in a rather strange place. Last week, a pet owner shared a now viral photo of his cat standing inside his fridge.
We don’t have any open food in there, said the owner, he just likes to lie in the fridge.
