2023 BMW X7 Arrives with More Power and a New Look

    BMW is no stranger to bold designs, and it’s not holding back with the three-row X7 that’s updated for 2023. Updates include an intriguing new-looking front end, along with new technology and interior improvements for inline six and V-8 engine options. We didn’t have many complaints with the flagship BMW SUV after spending 40,000 miles with the 2020 M50i X7 model and these updates look forward to continuing to improve its position within the large luxury SUV segment.     The new face of the X7 previews what will also appear in the upcoming 2023 7-series flagship sedans and the soon-to-be-revealed i7 electric sedans. BMW cut the lower half of the headlights on the X7, and lit the large kidney grille on the high-performance M60i. The lighting grille is optional on the standard xDrive40i. The rear end mostly looks the same at first glance, but the taillights now have triangular 3D elements.

    Tons of new color options are also available, including 40 individual BMW options that include non-metallic and matte finishes. An available M Sport package adds gloss black accents, 21-inch wheels and trapezoidal exhaust tips. The M60i is known for its M badge on the grille (new for the M-badged model), body kit and 22-inch wheels. New for 2023 is the option of a set of 23 inches equipped with summer tyres.

    The standard xDrive40i model is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged 6-liter engine that delivers 375 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque, and increments of 40 hp and 67 lb-ft. The M60i opens with a 523-hp 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 that now has 48-volt hybrid-assist among other engine reviews. This model also gets standard air springs and rear axle steering that we appreciated in our long-range test vehicle. Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that now has a Sprint function that shifts the transmission to the lowest gear available and puts all drive modes at the sportiest setting when the left shift lever is held in hold for one second. BMW says the upcoming Alpina XB7 will have 630 horsepower, up 18 horsepower, and claims it will hit 60 mph in 4.0 seconds (we clocked 3.7 seconds in our previous test).

    The new curved screen is a cornerstone of the X7’s updated interior design. Screen size 12.3 inches behind the wheel and screen size of 14.9 inches for information and entertainment covered with a glass one. The latest version of the operating system information and entertainment iDrive BMW and continues to control it by a disk iDrive control next to a specific gears, which is now a small arm instead of the previous transmission crystal handle. A new piece of ambient lighting runs across the redesigned dashboard.

    It will model 2023 BMW X7 to the United States at the end of the year, starting from US $ 78.845 for xDrive 40i, which raises the price while still less than the price of the Lexus LX and Jeep Grand Wagoneer, and $ 104.095 model M60i.
